When Kirsten and Grady first met they were in high school. A chance “run-in” at a local Starbucks, arranged by the bride’s sister, Jessica, led to months of awkward texts, movie dates, and long conversations over Sonic Slushies. Ah, to be in high school. As time went by the two lost touch until last year. Jessica just couldn’t shake the feeling that Grady and her sister were perfect for each other. Jessica planted that seed and with a little liquid courage, thank you Austin Eastciders, and encouragement from friend Julie, Kirsten sent Grady a text. The rest, they say, is history.
As the two rekindled their high school romance, it became apparent that they could not live without each other. Kirsten loves how passionate Grady is about everything he does and constantly working to make himself the best he can be. He makes sure that Kirsten knows she is loved every day all day, no matter what. Kirsten’s energy along with her smile and eyes make Grady feel a warmth he’s never felt. He also loves “dat booty”.
Grady instrumented the perfect wedding proposal to Kirsten. He had a card asking her to marry him shipped to her in a box from her favorite store. After reading the question on the card, she looked up, knowing her answer, to find Grady on one knee surrounded by her family. His family was hiding. A celebration ensued the perfect wedding proposal.
Kirsten and Grady were married on June 16th at the quaint Sunnyside Chapel in Creede, Colorado. Kirsten’s family have been coming to the area for 38 years so it was the perfect place for her to marry Grady. She got ready for the day at the Aspen Inn. Her dress was from Bestow Bridal in Austin. The bride also wore a generational necklace and earrings from her grandmother. The intimate ceremony was witnessed by family and close friends. The reception followed at the Creede Hotel.
Kirsten and Grady, continue to be your best and take risks. A simple text ended with your “happily ever after”!
